Here is mama’s recipe: ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
🌱Ingredients ⁣⁣⁣
– 300g of Stringless Green Beans (or Badreya Beans is the best as mama calls it) ⁣⁣
– 1 Onion⁣⁣⁣ fine diced
– 1 Whole Garlic⁣⁣⁣ with all its cloves
– 2 Tomatoes⁣⁣⁣ diced
– 3 Tbsp Tomato Paste ⁣⁣⁣
– 1/2 Tbsp Cinnamon⁣⁣⁣
– 1 Tbsp Cumin⁣⁣⁣
– 1 Beef Stock Cube⁣⁣⁣ or equivalent liquid (you can substitute for veg stock)
– 1/2 Glass of Vegetable Oil⁣⁣⁣
– 1 Tbsp of EV Olive Oil ⁣⁣⁣
– Salt & Pepper ⁣⁣⁣to taste
⁣⁣⁣
πŸ‘¨πŸ»β€πŸ³Directions⁣⁣⁣
– In a saucepan, fry the diced onions till they’re soft.
– Now fill the saucepan with water and throw the beans in, just enough to cover the beans. Bring it to a boil for 15 mins.⁣⁣⁣
– Add freshly chopped tomatoes in there along with the tomato paste. ⁣⁣⁣
– Add in the beef stock.⁣⁣⁣
– Add in the spices and salt and pepper.⁣⁣⁣
– Add in the garlic cloves to the pan. Don’t dice them mom says. ⁣⁣⁣
– Add the 1/2 Glass of vegetable oil to the pot, along with 1 Tbsp of EV Olive Oil for added richness. ⁣⁣⁣
– Let it now simmer on low heat for an hour or so. ⁣⁣⁣
– Once done, let it cool down. Then store it in the fridge for 45 minutes, as it’s served cold. When serving, garnish with freshly chopped parsley & drizzle little olive oil. ⁣⁣⁣
– Prepare some pita bread or even tortillas will do. Scoop up the goodness and enjoy. ⁣
– Serves 3 people.⁣
