𝐌𝐀𝐌𝐀’𝐒 𝐋𝐎𝐔𝐁𝐈𝐄𝐇 𝐁𝐙𝐄𝐈𝐓🇱🇧🍅🧄
Served cold but it’ll warm your heart.
Don’t forget to cool it in the fridge after cooking & then scoop it up with fresh Arabic bread👌🏼
Here is mama’s recipe:
🌱Ingredients
– 300g of Stringless Green Beans (or Badreya Beans is the best as mama calls it)
– 1 Onion fine diced
– 1 Whole Garlic with all its cloves
– 2 Tomatoes diced
– 3 Tbsp Tomato Paste
– 1/2 Tbsp Cinnamon
– 1 Tbsp Cumin
– 1 Beef Stock Cube or equivalent liquid (you can substitute for veg stock)
– 1/2 Glass of Vegetable Oil
– 1 Tbsp of EV Olive Oil
– Salt & Pepper to taste
👨🏻🍳Directions
– In a saucepan, fry the diced onions till they’re soft.
– Now fill the saucepan with water and throw the beans in, just enough to cover the beans. Bring it to a boil for 15 mins.
– Add freshly chopped tomatoes in there along with the tomato paste.
– Add in the beef stock.
– Add in the spices and salt and pepper.
– Add in the garlic cloves to the pan. Don’t dice them mom says.
– Add the 1/2 Glass of vegetable oil to the pot, along with 1 Tbsp of EV Olive Oil for added richness.
– Let it now simmer on low heat for an hour or so.
– Once done, let it cool down. Then store it in the fridge for 45 minutes, as it’s served cold. When serving, garnish with freshly chopped parsley & drizzle little olive oil.
– Prepare some pita bread or even tortillas will do. Scoop up the goodness and enjoy.
– Serves 3 people.
